Welcome to our Website!
"GABAY sa PAGLALAKBAY" was the theme of our 25th anniversary celebrations, 21-28 Sept.
A Message from our Chaplain Fr. Joey
Hello everyone, a warm and joyous greeting to all! I would like to start by thanking everybody for the successful celebration of our 25th anniversary. Thank you for participating in our daily Eucharistic celebration and attending the programs afterward. Thank you for sharing your time, efforts and resources; it really made our celebration not only memorable but also meaningful. I thank God for all that happened.
I have had a chance to thank some of you personally, but to those with whom I have not had the chance to meet or speak: thank you very much, maraming salamat, vergelt's Gott! I deeply and sincerely appreciate the generosity, concern and love that you show and give to the community. May the Lord make us more committed to grow deeper in our faith as we continue our journey.
Perhaps, this is also my opportunity to inform everyone about my coming sabbatical. I will be leaving the community temporarily for a few months to undertake a spiritual renewal and to recharge my batteries. I hope to return - full of vigor and enthusiasm - to a deeper and more meaningful service in the Lord’s vineyard. Let us continue to pray for each other.
Can you pack an egg so that it doesn't break when dropped from a 10-foot ladder?
You can! Francis Reyes' group successfully proved the theory at the Communications Workshop held Sunday afternoon, 16 November at the Parish Hall. 28 of our parishioners (youth and parents) participated in games, role-playing and group discussions under the guidance of Mag. Angie Simek-Hall. The non-confrontational approach to the serious topic of communication between teenagers and parents raised awareness about how "the other side" thinks, without becoming personal. The workshop was considered by all to be a success, and it is hoped that other families will have the time to attend a repeat workshop in 2009.

Our week-long 25th anniversary celebrations were concluded today 28 September 2008 with a procession and pontifical mass concelebrated by Archbishop of Manila Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, Bishop Luis Antonio Tagle of Imus, Bishop Pedro Arigo of Puerto Princesa, Father Peter Bsteh of the Archdiocese of Vienna and other visiting Viennese and Filipino clergy. In the homily, Cardinal Rosales stressed the importance of unity in the community and the need to be aware of how much each of us can do to help our less fortunate brothers in the Philippines.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church was filled to overflowing for the mass. Afterward, we partook of a buffet lunch in the parish garden and enjoyed an entertainment programme presented by members of the parish. The celebration has been an invigorating experience, and we all close the week with a strong resolve to carry out our mission of actively living our faith in our home away from home. Our journey is far from over - we continue with deep faith and pray for the Lord's blessings!

Bishop Tagle celebrating the mass with the Community
Prior to the week's celebrations, we heard mass every Friday starting on August 5 at the churches that our Community formerly used. At each mass, pioneer parishioners shared stories with the congregation about Community life in those early days.
