JESUS TIME

Our vision: Bring Christ and the Gospel to every child so that each one may grow to love God and His Church.

Our mission: To plant the seed of faith in the early stages of a child’s development.

Our target group: The children of parents who attend Sunday Mass at Maria von Berge Karmel Parish. The reality is that the children do not really understand the prayers, readings, and homilies in the Mass, and we thought that through Jesus Time we could relay the Gospel to them in a way that is interesting and that they can understand.

What we do at Jesus Time First and foremost we ensure that the lesson plan is inspired from the Sunday Gospel.
  • We start with a simple prayer.
  • We teach a song related to the Gospel or message of the day.
  • We have the Gospel reading and an explanation.
  • We conclude with an activity related with the Gospel message/value.

The Jesus Time team places value on the Gospel for the given Sunday, because we want the children to concurrently learn and hear what the parents are learning and hearing at Mass. The result is having entire families going home after Mass with the same seeds planted in their hearts.

We in Jesus Time believe that the seeds of faith should be planted on rich and new soil. Children are that soil, and in such richness seeds will grow and flourish. And the roots will firmly find its home in vibrant, pumping hearts; hearts like those found in children. We hope that as these seeds are planted, and the roots grow, the children from Jesus Time may one day become adults who are true followers and believers of God and His Church.
